Literacy is the foundationof every child's future

The Early Child Education Support Foundation was established to bridge the gap between Nigeria's rich linguistic heritage and modern educational outcomes. We believe that grounding early learners in their native tongues doesn't limit potential — it expands it.
By integrating Hausa, Yoruba, and Igbo into a structured, comprehensive curriculum, we cultivate confident communicators who carry cultural identity alongside academic excellence.
A child who can articulate their world in their mother tongue can articulate anything, in any tongue.
Registered with Nigeria's Corporate Affairs Commission on March 11, 2026, ECEDSF is fully active and committed to delivering measurable literacy improvements across communities in Rivers State and beyond.
Three Languages.
One Nation. One Voice.
Each language opens a distinct window into Nigerian culture, history, and identity.
One of Africa's most widely spoken languages, Hausa serves as a vital lingua franca across the Sahel region. Our Hausa curriculum builds foundational literacy through oral tradition and written practice, connecting children to over 80 million speakers worldwide.
Rich in proverbs, poetry, and tonal complexity, Yoruba is the linguistic backbone of southwestern Nigeria. Our program introduces young learners to reading, writing, and the deep cultural wisdom embedded in Yoruba oral literature and storytelling.
Rooted in the heartland where ECEDSF was founded, Igbo literacy is central to our mission. Students explore Igbo script, grammar, and the vibrant oral traditions that have sustained southeastern communities for centuries — building pride alongside proficiency.

“Education is the most powerful weapon you can give a child.”
Our Aims & Objectives
As enshrined in our registered constitution, nine core objectives define every program, partnership, and initiative we undertake.
Integrated Language Curriculum
Establish a comprehensive program integrating Hausa, Yoruba, and Igbo into the school curriculum to enhance literacy, communication skills, cultural identity, and appreciation for indigenous languages.
Cultural Heritage Workshops
Organise workshops promoting cultural heritage and connecting young children to their roots — building community participation, self-esteem, confidence, and providing guidance for children facing academic challenges.
Gender-Equitable Learning Materials
Ensure equitable access to learning materials tailored for both boys and girls, promoting gender equality in education and creating a balanced environment where all children can thrive academically.
Minority Language Inclusion
Broaden the curriculum to include minority languages such as Fulfulde, Ijaw, Ikwerre, Edo, Ishan, and Igala — promoting multilingualism, cognitive development, and cultural awareness among students.
Cultural Exchange Programs
Facilitate cultural exchange programs that immerse students in diverse indigenous traditions while promoting language learning, mutual respect, understanding, and social harmony.
Parent & Guardian Engagement
Conduct workshops educating parents and guardians on the significance of language preservation — strengthening parental support and creating a nurturing educational ecosystem that encourages student success.
Technology-Enhanced Learning
Integrate technology in teaching indigenous languages by developing online resources and mobile applications — making learning accessible to students in remote areas and bridging gaps in educational opportunities.
World-Class School Facilities
Design, build, and maintain conducive school facilities that promote academic excellence and personal growth, while recruiting qualified educators and providing ongoing professional development.
Community Engagement & Scholarships
Actively engage with the local community to promote educational initiatives and foster parental involvement. Establish scholarship programs to assist students from low-income families, organise extracurricular activities for physical, social, and emotional development, and research innovative teaching methods to continuously improve learning outcomes.

“Every lesson in their mother tongue is a step closer to who they truly are.”
Every child who learns to write their language writes their own story.
